Mobile Municipal Court
Don't make the mistake of going to Mobile City Court without an attorney. If you do, you may end up in jail or end up with an unnecessary DUI conviction on your record.
The Mobile Municipal Court is usually held every day of the week unless there is a holiday. The municipal court is located at 205 Government Street,2nd Floor, Mobile, Alabama 36601. There are five municipal court judges. They are A. Holmes Whiddon, Jr., Shelbonnie Hall, Mathew S. Green, Rose A. McPhillips, and Thomas H. Figures. If you have a traffic or criminal charge pending in Mobile Municipal Court, you should contact the firm as soon as possible. A conviction could mean the loss of your freedom, your driver's license, and even your money. Even if you think you are guilty and there is no hope, there may be options such as a good behavior plea ("Stipulate to a Prima Facie Case") or pleading to an amended charge.
Mobile Municipal Court Punishment
- Up to $500 fine plus court costs
- Up to 6 months in jail
- Does not apply to DUI's
Mobile Municipal DUI (Driving Under the Influence) Punishment:
- Fines from $600-$2,100 fine plus court costs
- Up to a year in jail
- Fines from $1,100-$5,100 fine plus court costs
- Up to a year in jail but must serve a minimum 5 days in jail or complete 30 days community service
- Fines from $2,100-$10,100 plus court costs
- Up to a year in jail but must serve a minimum of 60 days in jail.
